What can you suggest for getting rid of beavers that are eating up our bradford trees?

We have put wire around the base of 80 bradford trees that we have around our pond and our property. We were told that you should also paint the trunks of each tree with some solution to heal the bark. Need some immediate help in this department. Thank you
