My turtle ferguson is about the size of a half dollar. i am not concerned about him eating any fish, i think he is a painted turtle, can i put him outside in our 30in deep pond if i still bring him food? if its a matter of the winter i can bring him indoors then. any help would be appreciated!

We found 4 painted turtle eggs at the bottom of our small garden pond, the turtle has not been seen in days?

No, That small could drown, or get eaten by a predetor. At that age turtles barely know how to swim. If i were you id keep it in a small 5 gallon for now.

The pond is full of mud on the pond is protected from predation deep enough to not freeze through and that you wont be upset if it in most cases and there is protected from predation deep water when threatened.
